ASA DIRECTIVE IN REGARDS TO JEWELLERY WORN BY PLAYERS - September 18, 2006
Please take note of the following ASA rule and directive in regards to jewellery worn by players which will be enforced effective immediately.
From the ASA 2006/07 Rules of Indoor Soccer

- All items of jewellery are potentially dangerous.  The term dangerous can sometimes be ambiguous and controversial, therefore in order to be uniform and consistent,
any kind of jewellery is forbidden.
- Players are not allowed to use tape to cover jewellery.  Taping jewellery is not adequate protection.
- Rings, earrings, leather, or rubber bands are not necessary to play and the only thing they can bring about is injury.
So if the jewellery is visible or can been seen, it must come off or out.  The only exception to this is a medical alert bracelet which can be worn as long as the referee is satisfied that it will not pose any danger to anyone.

Have questions about what is Boarding - check this out!

CPICS
- March 24, 2005
All coaches/managers – please be aware of the CSA requirement that effective the 2005 outdoor season all coaches/managers/trainers listed on a team must complete a CPIC.  The cost to complete one is now $5.00.  CPIC’s must be completed in the presence of either of the CWSA office personnel.  The process takes approximately 5 minutes – so again, time your arrival accordingly. Remember that you must have one of (Driver's License, Passport or Citizenship) AND one of (Birth Certificate, Social Insurance or Health Care card). No coach or manager registrations will be accepted without completing a CPIC application.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

If you happen to witness an altercation, discipline issue, suspicious activity or otherwise (during a soccer event), please put all pertinent information in writing and submit it to the CWSA office (Fax: 720-6693).

PARTICIPATION IN UNSANCTIONED EVENTS
Alberta Soccer Association has sent a letter reminding all registered members of the Rules regarding participation in unsanctioned events.  Remember that being registered as a player in the CWSA league, you are considered a member of the CWSA and in turn a member of the Alberta Soccer Association (ASA).  To read the letter, please
find it on the Documents page under the Information heading to the left.

REFEREE EVALUATIONS:
Referee Evaluations can now be found on the website and completed online!!  Please complete these evaluations by clicking on the button to your left.  Referee evaluations determine which referees are suitable for each division of the Women's league, and which are best suited in other divisions. Your input is needed in helping us have the best referees at your games.   By not filling out any referee evaluations, your team is not eligible to request not having a particular referee at your games.

PLAY-UP CARDS:

A reminder that the CWSA has the play-up cards, in digital format.   Registered CWSA players no longer need play up forms (but MUST still have their card - either player's or play-up), but every CMSA player playing up into the CWSA MUST HAVE a play-up form signed and brought to the game WITH their player's card.

Please note that although we strive for accuracy, occasionally there are changes to the original schedule given out at the Special General Meetings.  If you are in doubt of a game time or date,
PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE FOR VERIFICATION.

Please review the items under 'INFORMATION' to the left. This area includes updated Rules and Regulations, Discipline Code, newsletters, your new Board of Directors and any other important information. This area is updated regularly.
